Many vegetable farmers use the method of keeping more fruits in the early stage when planting over-summer tomatoes, leaving 5-6 fruits per ear, pressing the trees with fruits, suppressing plant growth and promoting fruit setting. Therefore, vegetable farmers should thin out the excessive fruits from the lower part of the plant, usually in two steps, the first time when the fruit grows to the size of a soybean grain, and thin out the fruits that are too large, too small or obviously deformed. The second time is when it grows to the size of a grape. The main purpose is to remove deformed fruits and reduce nutrient consumption to promote flowering and fruit setting on the upper part of the tomato.

There are also many people who think that the high temperature in summer can keep more fruits. In fact, excessive fruit retention and excessive nutrient consumption in the lower part of the plant will seriously affect the growth of stems, leaves and roots, resulting in insufficient nutrient supply absorbed from the soil, and low accumulation of photosynthetic products. Will be greatly affected.

Suggestion: Do not leave the first ear fruit and remove it in due course.

The reasons are as follows:

1. It is easy to fall trees, which is not conducive to high yield in later stage.

2. Due to the high seedling temperature, poor differentiation of flower buds in the first panicle, deformed fruits are prone to appear later.

3. The first spike flower is used to test the concentration of anthers, and the appropriate spot flower concentration is tested for subsequent flower spikes.

4. The first flower in each panicle is 1 to 2 days earlier than other flowers in the same panicle, so do not order the first flower.

If the first spike is spotted, the subsequent flowers are prone to malnutrition. If the plant is very prosperous, leave 2 to 3 in the first ear, 3 to 4 in the second ear, 4 in the third ear, and 4 to 5 fruits in the ears above the fourth ear.
