Zinc deficiency. In the absence of zinc, the lower half of the young leaves of the summer maize seedling and growing seasons appear pale yellow or white, and after the leaves grow into, yellowish spots or chlorotic streak spots appear between the veins, and even mosaic symptoms can be seen. Severe zinc deficiency can be used in the seedbed 2.5-4 kg of zinc phosphate per acre. Live maize should be applied with 1-1.5 kg of zinc sulfate as base fertilizer. Can also be used to remediate the method of foliar fertilizer, sprayed with 0.1% -0.2% of zinc sulfate solution 2-3 times, spraying every 7-10 days, each time about 50 kg of fertilizer solution.

Boron deficiency. Symptoms of boron deficiency in summer maize are that the young leaves are not able to develop. The thinning of the veins in the upper leaves is white and transparent. The growth of plants is thin and short, and the ear is deformed. The grain arrangement is irregular, shrinking, and the top grain is empty. The remedy is to spray 0.2% of boric acid or borax on the leaves 2-3 times, about 10 days apart and 50-75 kg each time.
