Wuhan Municipal Price Bureau: Vegetables, eggs, and other prices are still falling.

The Wuhan Municipal Price Bureau announced the price monitoring data for the “vegetable basket” in October. Compared with September, the price of vegetables, aquatic products, and eggs can be seen as falling. Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Pricing forecasted that the prices of eggs and aquatic products still have room to fall this month, but vegetables will enter a seasonal increase.

Vegetable prices dropped last month. The comprehensive average price of 12 vegetable varieties monitored by the price hikes department of this month was 500 yuan per square meter (the same below) was 2.16 yuan, a decrease of 8.1% from September. Among them, the prices of 11 varieties decreased, and the price of 1 variety increased. The prices of Chinese cabbage, cabbage, potatoes, white radish, Chinese cabbage, eggplant, cucumber, lotus root, tomatoes, celery, and melon fell by 11.6%, 11.3%, 4.1%, 14.4%, 20.9%, and 10.2% respectively over September. 1.1%, 13.7%, 3.1%, 9.9%, 1.3%; green pepper prices rose 2.1% from the previous month.

The Price Bureau analyzed that vegetable prices continued to show a seasonal downward trend in October. The main reason was that the weather was cool, the temperature was appropriate, the amount of nearby real estate vegetables increased significantly, the price of leafy vegetables dropped significantly, and the prices of vegetables dropped drastically; at the same time, the prices of vegetables dropped. The amount of vegetable imports was also relatively stable. The overall market supply was sufficient and the price of vegetables continued to decline. In November, the temperature in Wuhan dropped, and the volume of real estate vegetables was reduced. Vegetable prices will enter a seasonally rising period.
