The results showed that eating nuts more than 3 times a week (28 grams per intake) reduced the risk of death from heart disease or cancer by 55% or 40%, respectively. The researchers believe that the reason is that nuts are rich in linoleic acid and natural chemicals (the skin of nuts is especially rich in fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium and other minerals).
