Adidas and IHT collaborate to launch smart watches that track the heart rate of primary school students

Adidas has partnered with Interactive Health Technologies (IHT) to name Zone's wristband sports and heart rate tracking devices. IHT is a company that provides a health tracking system for primary school PE (PE) courses.

Introducing a smart watch that tracks the heart rate of primary school students

Zone is a durable motion tracking device that monitors students' heart rate 24/7. The device display can display the user's heart rate for the user to see. The device can also send data to the IHT Spirit system. PE teachers can look at student movements and heart rate data to find out which children need to pay extra attention to achieve their heart rate goals. The IHT Spirit system also includes the functions of course and assessment management.

At the CES conference in January 2015, Adidas announced its first cooperation with IHT. According to IHT, 2015 was the company's school year, with 600,000 primary school students included in the IHT Spirit system. The company's goal is to include 1 million at the end of 2016.

The school can now begin the booking of the equipment, but the equipment will be delivered to the user as part of the company's plan at the start of the August and September program.

In August last year, Adidas acquired the Austrian fitness app and equipment company Runtastic for $240 million. At the time, Runtastic had more than 140 million downloads and 70 million users.

Adidas will also produce its own products, including miCoach fitness smart watches, MiCoach smart balls and monitoring kits that support professional sports teams. In addition, Adidas' online store also sells XCell motion tracking equipment and other tracking motion speed units.
