Mongolian "tea ceremony" culture

After the guests come home, they have to give tea, which is a kind of courtesy to welcome guests. After the guests are seated, the host stands up and holds the tea bowl in both hands to offer to the guests. The guest also has to sit up and pick up the tea bowl with his right hand and put it on the table. The owner then brought a plate of milk to his hands. The guest took it with his right hand and poured it in his left hand. He took a little milk from the ring finger of his right hand, smashed it into the sky, and slammed it in his mouth. When tea is served, women must be neatly dressed and graceful.

Tasting tea and fresh milk are a kind of courtesy activity for Mongolians to meet, often not to quench their thirst. Tea bowls must not have cracks, they must be intact, and it is not a good thing to have a gap. When pouring tea into the bowl, you may have to take the copper pot or spoon in your right hand and pour it from the inside into the tea bowl. Tea can't be too full, and it can't be only half. When you offer tea by hand, your fingers cannot be placed in the tea. You can sway a little, but you can't sprinkle the tea. When pouring tea, the spout or spoon head should be turned northward, not to the south (facing the door), because the Buddha came from the inside and went out to the blessing.

When adding tea to the elderly or guests, you should pick up the tea bowl and add tea. You can't let the guests bring the bowl to add tea in their hands. Generally speaking, the grand ceremony is: Before the new tea is not drunk, whenever it is necessary, it must first be sent to the Emperor, the landscape, the Vulcan, etc. as the Dejiji, before it can start to pour tea. Every time you pour tea, you must respect the tea from the elders according to the age. After the tea has been served for half a bowl, it is necessary to add tea to the guests. In Xilin Gol and other places, the owner first gives the guests a bowl of tea, then puts the teapot in front of the guests, allowing the guests to drink themselves. But the first bowl of tea must be respected. After the guests finished drinking tea, one of the longest people had to hold a tea bowl and sing "The Tea's Message". The owner and other guests should follow the elder's tail and say: "Zha, bless the fulfillment." After drinking the tea in the bowl and taking the spoon out of the pot, you can get on the road.

At present, the herdsmen in the western part of Inner Mongolia mainly drink brick tea, and the herdsmen in the eastern region mainly drink black tea. When the brick tea is in the sputum, you can order it or add other condiments. In addition to the milk tea, there are the following.

1) Sucha

Before the water is boiled, put the pre-cooked brick tea into it and add the right amount of salt. As soon as the tea is rolled out, it is repeatedly raised with a spoon. After the tea fragrance is released, it is poured on the end of the pot to drink. This kind of tea is called vegetarian tea (black tea) because it does not put milk. Most of the winter dairy cows drink plain tea after they have dried up.

2) Tea

After the glutinous tea, take out the tea skin and pour it into a special bucket with hibiscus (tea pot), put ghee, milk, milk, and hibiscus until you are with the milk. When it is dissolved, stop the tea and pour it in the teapot. The practice is similar to the Tibetan butter tea. This kind of tea is generally reserved for the elderly.

3) Face tea

After the glutinous tea is removed from the tea skin, it is poured back into the pot, and the wolf oil or belly oil is cut into pieces and sprinkled in, and then the eggs are cooked. After cooking for a while, the fried white noodles are sprinkled. Go in, mix well and cook again. This kind of tea white noodles should be placed properly, and it should not be put too much, otherwise it will be made into porridge; and if it is too little, the color will turn white and become light tea, which is very unpleasant to drink. Face tea is generally served in the winter.
