How to plant seedlings

The upper pot refers to the planting of flowers or self-propagated flower seedlings into pots. To plant new seedlings, it is advisable to wash the pots when they are grown. Most perennial flowers should be potted when the young shoots are just sprouting. Focus on cutting propagation of seedlings, after the rooting leaves, the seedlings should be divided in time on the basin. Seedlings of woody flowers are generally raised in the winter or early spring when the trees are dormant or just sprouting, otherwise they will affect normal growth and development.

Before putting on the pot, the appropriate pot should be selected according to the size of the seedlings and the speed of growth. Use new pans to soak in water first. If you use old pots, they must be cleaned. The pelvic drainage hole is filled with two fast-breaking pelvic pieces (concave side down) or gauze pieces, and then add 1 to 2 cm thick coarse sand or coal slag as a drainage layer. The drainage layer is covered with a layer of culture soil to be planted.

Before the seedlings are applied to the pot, long fibrous roots and wounded roots must be cut off. If the root system is damaged too much, some leaves must be cut off to reduce the transpiration. When the bare root seedlings are placed on pots, the subsoil shall be piled into hillocks in the pots, and the right position of the seedlings shall be placed with the left hand so that the root system is evenly distributed around the roots. Fill the soil with the right hand and lift the seedlings with the soil. Roots stretch. Then gently press the soil with your hand to stretch the roots. Then tightly press the soil with your hand to make the root system in close contact with the soil. Finally add culture soil to the basin along the 2 to 3 cm distance for watering and fertilization. Note that when the soil is filled, the roots cannot be pressed too tightly, leaving no gaps between the soils, resulting in poor venting of the ventilator, affecting the respiration of the roots, and causing the seedlings to grow weak and even die.

Once the seedlings are planted, they should be poured with water once, so that all soil in pots and soils will be sucked in enough water. Then they should be kept in cool and sheltered places to change their seedlings. Do not rush to pour the water for the second time during the seedlings, and do not fertilize them, because the new roots have not yet been applied. When growing out, the water absorption capacity is weak, and the water will affect the survival. When the surface of potted soil is grayed out, it is poured with the second water. This will not only prevent fibrous roots from rot and atrophy, but also promote new roots and restore growth quickly. After the flower seedlings have resumed their growth, they are then moved to normal maintenance, depending on the nature of the flowers, and moved to a sunny place or shade shed.

In combination with the upper pot, the woody flower plants should be properly pruned, and the long fibrous roots, the diseased leaves, the overt only, and the laceration should be cut off. By pruning, the evaporation of plant water is reduced, which helps to improve survival. For excessively debilitating plants and flowering flowers that were only flowering in the current year, they can be cut from a point 10 cm away from the base of the stem, which can promote vigorous sprouting and early flowering.
